The Cottages at Back River Road is a 44-unit neighborhood of all-electric tiny homes, built with efficiency, speed, and community in mind. Each unit is 544 square feet (including a loft), designed with modern amenities, and crafted to feel open, spacious, and livable.

Located in Dover, New Hampshire, the Cottages sit along a newly created road—aptly named Uncommon Drive—to represent an uncommon solution to a growing problem.

FAQs

How much do the units cost?

The units cost $1,677 per month for the 2026 calendar year. * Discount rates apply for Harmony Homes and GSD Construction employees *

How many occupants?

Here are some examples of families we accept:

1 adult, 2 adults, 1 adult and 1 child (any age), 1 adult and 2 children (any age), 2 adults and 1 child (any age), 2 adults and 2 children (under the age of 5). 

Can I have a pet?

Yes! We are a pet friendly community! All pets must go through a pet screening and be up to date on all vaccinations. There is a 1x pet fee of $250 per unit.

What are the qualifications?

We select candidates based on a variety of factors. These units were designed with our essential workforce in mind. If you are a teacher, caregiver, firefighter, plumber, etc. we want you to live in the community you work in!

Can I schedule a tour?

As a unit becomes available, a member of our team will reach out to you for a tour.

What is included in the rent?

The tenant is responsible for electricity and Wi-Fi, the landlord will pay for water and sewer.

What is the parking situation?

Each unit will have 1 designated parking spot. There are visitor parking spots available on a first come first served basis. 

Is there additional storage space outside of my unit?

There is no additional storage space on the property at this time. 

Is laundry included?

Your unit will have washer and dryer hookups. The space is designed for a stackable washer and dryer. If you do not wish to purchase your own, we are planning to have a washer and dryer available on site in the future. 

Is a deposit required?

Yes, a deposit is required equal to 1 month of rent.

Are the units furnished?

The units are not furnished.

What is the outdoor space like?

Each unit has an individual front porch space and a shared community space.
